According to the People's Procuracy of Son La Province, the female staff member of the Chu Van Thinh High School in Chieng Ban Commune, Mai Son District has been arrested by local police for harming other people's health.

Earlier on September 22, the school informed the Chieng Ban Commune People’s Committee that the food served to students for lunch that day smelled like pesticide. Local authorities sent a team to come to check and found that the food samples had the smell of pesticide.

It was lucky that none of the students had eaten the food before the pesticide discovery.

The school has over 1,200 students, and over 400 of them have lunch at school.

Police are further investigating the case.
