The city has 424 parks, but only 33 of those have parking areas, accounting for 7.80 percent of the total, according to the municipal Department of Construction.

This has caused inconvenience for visitors.The lack of parking space has been partially attributed to the unavailability of guidelines for using public assets at parks, resulting in some park management units being unable to arrange parking staff.
Due to the difficulties in finding parking spaces, many people have to park their vehicles on pavements, or on the roads, posing traffic risks.
District and town people’s committees and Thu Duc City along with the Centre for Technical Infrastructure Management under the Department of Construction have been instructed to review the parking demand at parks.
In the meantime, when parking lots within public parks cannot be arranged immediately, the park management authorities will collaborate to ensure temporary solutions are found.
