A fire breaks out at a house in Go Vap District in HCM City, killing two children on September 11.
Reports from local police said that the fire broke out at 2 am in a 20-square-metre house on Thong Nhat Street while a 10-year-old girl and her six-year-old brother slept on the mezzanine floor. Their parents, who are fish traders, had gone out to work just a short time before the incident occurred.
When some neighbours noticed the fire and came to help, the fire had already spread all over the house.
Firefighters were called and they controlled the fire in 10 minutes. The bodies of two children were found inside the debris.
