Since early September 1, thousands of people, mostly tourists, have queued at the border gate to travel to China
According to Lao Cai Tourism Association, this year’s four-day National Day holiday has meant that many people have chosen to travel to China for 3-5 days on VND6-15 million per person tours.
In the first half of this year, around one million visitors went to China through the Lao Cai - Hekou International Border Gate, including those who came for work and tourists.
The number of Vietnamese travellers to China through the border gate today is expected to continue rising.
Many people choose Hekou Town as it is quite near Lao Cai City to enjoy their holiday.
The management board of the Lao Cai - Hekou International Border Gate have easy customs clearance procedures during the holiday period.
