
At the meeting, the two leaders listened to the students, answered their questions and shared their opinions and hopes with Vietnamese young people.

PM Chinh expressed the hope that local students would try their best to contribute to the development of the country and the world.

Meanwhile, PM Lee said that he had visited Vietnam several times and met many energetic young people.

"Vietnam is a dynamic country which has seen robust development thanks to the contribution of its young generation," Lee said. "We believe that students here will continue to contribute to the development of Vietnam and the co-operation of our two countries. You always have new ideas and creative thinking and we want to work with you to build a better world."

At the meeting, the two leaders witnessed the signing of co-operation agreements between Vietnam National University and Singapore's Nanyang Technological University.

Pms Pham Minh Chinh Lee Hsien Loong then had lunch at the university's canteen with the students. They were served Vietnamese traditional dishes including spring rolls, stuffed pancakes, pork sausage, and young rice.
