The list includes three inter-provincial routes and three inter-city routes to help transport passengers to the Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien metro line.

Specifically, 18 inter-city routes will be connected to urban areas and schools such as Vinhomes Grand Park, Thanh My Loi and Masteri An Phu urban areas and Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.
Three inter-provincial routes will link Binh Duong and Dong Nai provinces.
With the added routes, the city will have 185 bus routes, including 148 inter-city routes.
This year, HCM City has spent VND1.70 trillion (USD72.34 million) subsidising buses. However, in the first seven months, local buses transported only 49 million passengers, fulfilling just 51.4 percent of the annual passenger target.
The VND43.7 trillion Ben Than-Suoi Tien is HCM City’s first metro project. The route would have three underground and 11 elevated stations. It is expected to be put into operation by late this year.
The test run for the whole Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien metro line has been set for the end of this month.
