The National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting forecasted that from late August to November this year, the East Sea would see 5-7 storms, including 2-3 that would directly affect Vietnam.

From December this year to February next year, the East Sea would witness 1-2 storms which can ravage central and southern localities.

The average temperature of the country would be 0.5-1 degree centigrade between September and October and 0.5-1.5 degrees centigrade in November.

This year, the northern and central regions would experience less severe cold fronts compared to many previous years.

From September and November, five high tide spells would occur in coastal areas of the southeast with the one between October 27 and November 1 being the most serious with the highest water level of 4.2 metres.
