The two districts of Minh Tri and Minh Phu, home to many homestays, experienced a flash flood following torrential rain over the past few days.

Rescue services and equipment were sent to the scene, but the cars have not yet been moved out of the landslide area near Ban Tien Lake.

Excavators have scooped a large amount of soil and rescue forces are working as quickly as possible.
The landslide also affected Dong Do Lake which is around 3 kilometres from Ban Tien Lake.
Nguyen Van Hoa, head of Minh Tan Village in Minh Tri Commune, said that warning signs had been placed in the affected areas.
Nguyen Dinh Cuong, a local resident, said that flash floods had never happened before in the area.
