Between January and July, the local tourism sector industry also served 76.50 million domestic visitors.
The industry earned total revenues of VND416.60 trillion (USD17.58 billion) during the phase.

In July alone, Vietnam welcomed roughly 1 million international visitors, up 6.50 percent, the highest monthly figure since early this year.
South Korea topped the list with more than 1.90 million arrivals or 29 percent of the total in the first seven months. It was followed by China with 738,000 and the US with 445,000.
Other countries in the top ten included Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, Cambodia, Australia and India.
Meanwhile, the UK, France and Germany topped European markets with the highest visitor numbers to Vietnam in the first seven months.
Amid these positive signals, the Vietnamese tourism sector expects to soon smash its annual target as the second half of the year is often the peak time for foreign tourists.
The country’s tourism sector is facing serious staff shortages after the COVID-19 pandemic, so recruitment and training and major concerns.
In 2019, before the pandemic broke out, Vietnam had more than 2.5 million workers in the industry, including 750,000 directly working in the sector.
