Northern and northern central localities in Vietnam have been forecasted to experience a rainy spell next week.

According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, the hot weather would continue to affect the northern and central region until July 14. On July 11 and August 10, the average temperature in the country would be 0.5 degrees centigrade higher than in previous years.

On July 18-25, northern and northern central localities would face rain. Many areas would struggle with torrential rain.

The National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting said that two or three storms or tropical depressions would happen on the East Sea between late July and early August with the first predicted to occur on July 15-20.

From July 10 to August 10, the total rainfall in some northwestern areas would be 5-15 percent lower than the average annual level. However, the rainfall in other places would be 15-30 percent higher than that of previous years, particularly in the central region.

Around a dozen tropical depressions and storms would affect the East Sea this year.
