Two passenger buses collide in the southern province of Phu Yen on June 17.
According to a report from Phu Hoa District Police Department, the accident occurred on National Road 1 at 10.30pm when the two buses collided with each other in the opposite direction.
The strong collision left a 35-year-old male passenger dead on the spot. Ten other passengers were badly injured and were taken to the Phu Yen Provincial General Hospital for treatment.
The hospital's director, Tran Anh Dung, said on June 18 that they received 10 injured people from the traffic accident on Saturday night, including four with serious conditions. One of them, a 44-year-old woman, had died from traumatic brain injuries early Sunday morning.
Police are further investigating the cause of the accident.
