The first phase includes 54 kilometres, linking Bien Hoa City in Dong Nai Province and Vung Tau City in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province.
With a total investment of around VND17.83 trillion (USD759 million) sourced from public investment, it is divided into three sub-projects. The first two total 34.2 kilometres of road running through Dong Nai. Meanwhile, the third sub-project will add 19.5 kilometres situated in Vung Tau City.
By May 5, VND1.07 trillion (USD42.55 million) was spent as compensation for 462 households affected by the third sub-project’s site clearance. The southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau is speeding up site clearance work to ensure completion by May 30.
Work on the third sub-project is slated to be completed on June 30.
