According to the municipal Department of Culture and Sports, a high-range firework display will take place at the Thu Thiem Tunnel crossing the Saigon River in Thu Duc City; and a low-range firework display will be organised in Dam Sen Cultural Park in District 11.
The 15-minute firework displays will begin at 9 pm on April 30.
Some other cultural and entertainment events will also be held on this occasion including two photo exhibitions at Ho Chi Minh Statue Park and Nguyen Hue walking street from April 25-May 6.
A special arts programme will also be held in the evening of April 28 on Nguyen Hue walking street. Local people and visitors can also enjoy the 47th HCM City marathon, artistic lighting decoration on streets, and the HCM City Orchid Festival 2023 among the festivities.
