Local authorities come to present their condolences to the family.
The tragic accident occurred at 5.30 pm in Ben Cat Town after a thunderstorm uprooted a tree which fell onto an electric wire at a local house.
Nguyen Thi Nhi, 70, went out to sweep her yard near the fallen tree. She didn't notice the broken line but received an electric shock after touching it.
Seeing her fall, her husband Nguyen Van Len, 71, her son Nguyen Thai Binh, 40, and grandson Nguyen Thai Duong, 12, rushed to help her and they all died after being electrocuted.
The grandmother only suffered light injuries.
Local authorities are further investigating the accident.
