The activities were carried out by the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs in collaboration with local districts.

According to the department, those who have health problems will be brought to healthcare centres for check-ups and treatment. Those with leprosy, AIDS, and tuberculosis will be moved to specialist hospitals for treatment.

The department has called on local people not to give money to people begging and instead inform local authorities.
