The four were on flight VND10 which arrived at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in HCM City on Thursday morning. They were found hiding the drugs inside toothpaste tubes which were put in their hand luggage by the airport’s customs officers.

The drugs have been identified as ecstasy and synthetic drugs.
Vietnam Airlines is co-operating with concerned agencies on the investigation into the case.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV), airlines were requested to instruct flight crews to strictly conform to smuggling regulations. Meanwhile, airport security forces were asked to tighten control flights to timely detect smuggling cases.
