A mother and two of her children died after their motorbike collided with a truck in the central province of Nghe An on March 6.
According to a report from police, the tragic accident occurred on Road 542E in Hung Nguyen District at 7 am on March 6 when the woman Nguyen Thi Hong, 26, was carrying her three children to school. Their motorbike collided with a truck carrying construction materials about a kilometre from their home.
The strong collision left Hong, her nine-year-old son, and her seven-year-old daughter dead on the spot. Hong's youngest son who was four was seriously injured.
Vice chairman of Hung Trung Commune People's Committee, Nguyen Ba Truong, said that initial investigations showed that the motorbike was hit from behind by the truck
Police are further investigating the cause of the accident.
