The capital city of Hanoi organised fireworks displays at 31 locations including Hoan Kiem Lake, Lac Long Quan Flower Garden, the Fl Racecourse area among others.

In HCM City, a high-altitude firework display was held at the Thu Thiem Tunnel in Thu Duc City and five low-altitude displays were set off in the Dam Sen Cultural Park in District 11, Thu Duc City, Can Thanh Commune in Can Gio District, Cu Chi and Binh Chanh districts.

Some other localities, including Lam Dong, Danang, Hue, Can Tho, and Thanh Hoa, also held firework displays to welcome the new year.
