The move followed the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs’ proposal.

The holiday will be on January 20-26, 2023 or the 29th of the 12th lunar month to the 5th of the first lunar month of the Year of the Cat.

The government has asked agencies and units to arrange work based on their plans during the holidays to ensure the fulfillment of their tasks and public services.

Vietnam currently has 11 days defined as public holidays. National Day (September 2) has seen an increased extra day off since last year.
