According to the Lao Cai Hydro-Meteorological Station, the weather in Lao Cai has been affected by a cold spell in China.
Frost in Sapa
On November 30-December 1, Lao Cai would have rain with temperatures ranging from 12-14 degrees centigrade. High mountainous areas would see particularly lower temperatures.
Fansipan would be covered in frost.
Local residents have been warned to take preventive measures against whirlwinds and lightning.
Localities may also face sudden landslide and flash flood risks.
Frost often appears in some high mountainous areas of provinces such as Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Ha Giang, Lang Son, Cao Bang and Quang Ninh.
