While the Black Friday sales last around a week, people can also enjoy big shopping discounts from the Vietnam Grand Sale 2022 which will run until December 22.
The event, which aims to stimulate consumer demand ahead of the New Year Holiday, drew the participation of retail goods and services providers.
This year, Black Friday falls on November 25 and many retailers, production units and businesses have kick-started their discount campaigns earlier than usual.
At Big C Thang Long in Hanoi, clothes and footwear products are all discounted by between 20-50 percent. The promotions have attracted lots of customers.
Many shops are offering discounts of between 50 percent
Nguyen Duy Ha from Thanh Xuan District said that she rarely saw such large discounts at fashion stores in Big C Thang Long. So she was buying more items for her children.
"I'm also buying some food to prepare for the New Year Holiday as the prices are very good," she said.
In HCM City, many shops are advertising 50-70 percent to 99 percent discounts.
At the Mieu clothes shop in District 3's Tran Quang Dieu Street, some items are being sharply discounted by 85 percent.
The shop manager, Truc Vy, said that they have attracted lots of customers, especially students since the Black Friday programme kicked off.
