Gerald Dick, Member of the Four Paws Executive Board, said that after being rescued, the bears were taken care of at Bear Sanctuary Ninh Binh’s isolated areas intended to stimulate the animals’ natural instincts before being released to the wild.

Dick also disclosed the organisation’s plans to build another sanctuary to preserve tigers and some kinds of endangered and rare species in Vietnam in Ninh Binh. The organisation expects that the project would be licensed in 2023 and put into use in 2026.

Vu Nam Tien, Director of the Ninh Binh Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, highly appreciated Four Paws’ bear rescues. He hoped that the organisation would continue contributing to wild animal protection in Vietnam.

Headquartered in Austria, Four Paws have representative offices in different nations.
