HCM City Customs Department and local police uncovered 26 kilos of drugs brought to Tan Son Nhat Airport from the US and Germany.
According to the department, they checked five parcels sent through postal express services at the airport on November 16 and found a large amount of drugs hidden inside four of them.
Two parcels sent from Germany contained a total of 5.60 kilos of MDMA drugs hidden inside packs of sweets.
Nearly 20 kilos of methamphetamine was found hidden in packs of coffee in two other parcels sent from the US.
"This is the largest amount of drugs sent from the US we've ever found," the department said.
The department is still co-operating with the police to investigate the case.
