Vietnam will enjoy three days off for the 2023 New Year, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) has announced.

Because New Year's Day falls on a Sunday, people will be given another day off on Monday January 2, 2023.

This provides a long weekend holiday running from December 31, 2022 to January 2, 2023.

Vietnam currently has 11 days defined as public holidays. National Day (September 2) has seen an increased extra day off since last year.
