Hanoi pavements barriered off to traffic and vendors

Authorities have placed a range of barriers on the pavement of many streets in Hanoi to stop vehicles from using them when roads are busy.

 

Barriers set up on Pham Van Bach Street, Cau Giay District

Fences are placed in a street section near Thang Long Avenue which is often home to vendors and faces frequent traffic congestion.

A pavement in Dich Vong Hau Ward

Fences on Quang Trung Street in Ha Dong District are aimed to prevent vendors

On Giai Phong Street

Fences are put up on To Huu Street to ban vehicles from going on the pavement at peak hours.
