On Monday afternoon, the monkey which is 70 cm high and weighs 10 kilos entered a nursery school in Ngu Phung Commune. It ran into a class with 20 children and hit a four-year-old girl, injuring her arm.

The child was taken to a local medical centre and has been vaccinated against rabies.
The monkey belonging to a family in Long Hai Commune was bought from the mainland. It has escaped from the cage and in the past month ravaged residential areas in Long Hai and Tam Thanh communes.
The animal has injured 10 local children aged between 2 and 13 years old. The furniture of many households has also been damaged by the monkey.
Local authorities are still hunting for the monkey.
