Pham Thi Thao, 42, in Binh Thanh Commune, Giong Trom District said when she was pregnant with their sixth child, her husband contracted Covid-19 and died.

Her eldest child is just six months old.
She works for a garment workshop as a part-time job with a very modest income of around VND1 million per month.
She and her six children are now living in a 30-square metre house without anything valuable.
Truong Thi Ngoc, vice chairwoman of Binh Thanh Commune’s Women Union, said that Thao and her husband both lacked formal education and ended up having six children despite financial difficulties.
Two of their children have mental problems.
Many local residents have supported them, mostly with food.
