According to the Giao Thuy District Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, large amounts of clams had drifted to the coast of Giao Hai Commune on September 28 after Storm Noru.
"It is estimated that some 30 tonnes of clams were drifted by waves to the shore here," the department said. "These clams are not from local farms but were from other places. We've sent a team to investigate the site."
