The incident occurred on the evening of August 28 at the 64-year-old woman’s house in Hoang Phu Commune, Hoang Hoa District. She was attacked by the dog at around 9:30 pm. Despite being quickly taken to a local hospital, she died two days later of serious injuries.

A representative from the commune people’s committee said that the 40-kilo dog was given to the woman by her son around a year ago.
Last month, an eight-year-old boy in the southern province of Binh Phuoc was also killed by a 30-kilo pit bull.
