Thong Nhat Park
Under the plan, Thong Nhat Park will have free entrance and would provide additional services to visitors. Areas would be set aside to promote reading, trade fairs and provide vending kiosks.
The city would also open a pedestrian area along Tran Nhan Tong Street which leads to the park, to promote nightlife activities around the park.
The renovation of degraded areas with works will be done initially, including repairing or adding lighting systems, toilets, park seats, rubbish bins, drainage systems and sprinklers; and planting more flowers and ornamental plants.
Parks such as Linh Dam, Bac Linh Dam, Linh Dam Peninsula, Ba Mau, Nghia Do, Cau Giay, Den Lu, Indira Gandhi, Nguyen Trai, Hoa Binh and 22 other flower gardens will have walkways fixed, flowers and plants additionally grown, and lighting systems repaired.
"The money to renovate and upgrade the 45 parks and flower gardens will be drawn from the city and district budgets.
