Many large-scale construction works have been illegally built inside the Phu Quoc marine protected area in the southern province of Kien Giang.
An illegally-built work in Cay Sao Village, Ham Ninh Commune
Leaders of Phu Quoc City arrived to inspect various construction works built inside Phu Quoc marine protected area in the two communes of Bai Thom, Ham Ninh, and An Thoi Ward on August 16. The delegation found a bridge and some floating restaurants illegally built here and asked the investors to immediately remove them. Besides, they also asked three facilities which were providing snorkeling and coral reefs watching tours without having licenses to stop operation.

Local authorities in these localities have been asked to monitor the removal of the illegally-built works in their areas.
