A five-storey building collapsed on August 11 in Hai Phong.
A representative at An Duong District People's Committee, said that the incident occurred 10.20 pm on August 11 in An Dong Commune.
According to some witnesses, they heard a loud noise at that time and came out to see a building behind the Hai Yen Hotel collapsing.
The hotel tilted and some parts of its walls heavily cracked following the building collapse. It is said that the building was inside the hotel precincts. It was built a long time ago and is now abandoned.
The collapse injured a woman who lives next door.
Authorities in An Duong have evacuated some residents living around the hotel to ensure safety.
