An additional 521 new Covid-19 infections were confirmed on Monday, raising the national tally to over 10.73 million, according to the Ministry of Health.
According to the ministry's report, most of the new patients are locally-transmitted cases confirmed in 40 out of 63 localities in the country with some localities seeing the highest numbers including Hanoi (141), Danang (27), Phu Tho (27), Yen Bai (24), and Quang Ninh (23).
As of Monday evening, the number of Covid-19 patients in Vietnam has increased to over 10.73 million.
On June 20, an additional 9,770 more patients recovered from the disease, raising the number of recoveries in the country to over 9.61 million.
On Monday evening, no deaths related to Covid-19 were announced. Total fatalities stayed at 43,083, accounting for 0.4 per cent of total infections.
By June 19, the country had injected more than 225 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines, including over 5.91 million given to children aged 5 to 11.
