According to the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology as of June 16, the third Covid-19 vaccination rate for people aged from 18 in Dien Bien was 65.1 percent. Meanwhile, some 30 percent of local people in this age group have not yet been given the third Covid-19 vaccine jab.
The Ministry of Health has asked Dien Bien to speed up the vaccination to avoid the batch expiring. The local sector needs to make a list of people who have not yet been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to encourage them to complete their vaccination.
The locality will have to take responsibility for the consequences of the slow vaccination.
Under Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s instruction, localities have to finish the third Covid-19 vaccine jab in the second quarter of this year.
