Many areas in the northern delta region also saw hot weather.

Localities today, June 17, from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen had temperature highs of 38 degrees centigrade.

Hanoi would see a temperature of 35-36 degrees centigrade.

The hot weather in the northern and central regions would last for 2-4 days to come.

Fire warnings, and particularly concerns about forest fires, have been raised in the central region.
