The Danang Department of Tourism and Sun Group held a press conference on Monday to launch the Enjoy Danang Summer Festival 2022 which will take place between June 11 and August 15.
Many tourism activities to be held in Danang this summer
The event will include different activities, including a carnival every Saturday and Sunday evening in July and a music festival with fireworks display in the same month which is expected to attract around 10,000 visitors.
In August, an electronic dance music festival will also be organised at Asia Park.
At the press conference, Tran Phuoc Son, vice chairman of Danang’s People’s Committee, said that the Covid-19 pandemic had severely affected the local tourism sector. Last year, the number of tourists to Danang declined by 55.8 percent.
This year, Danang has set a goal to lure 3.5 million visitors, triple against 2021, including 180,000 foreign tourists. The municipal tourism sector’s revenues are expected to reach VND6.7 trillion this year, up 3.4 fold from last year.
