According to the Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company, three more train services will be added for the Hanoi-Dong Hoi City route beside the four current services.

Train service SE17 will leave Hanoi Station at 8:20 pm on May 19 and arrive at Dong Hoi Station at 6:49 am the following day.

Train service QB1 will depart Hanoi Station at 7:55 pm on May 26 and arrive at Dong Hoi Station at 6:22 am the next day. Meanwhile, train service QB2 will start from Dong Hoi Station at 4:50 pm on May 22 and 29 and arrive at Hanoi Station at 4:35 am the following day.

The firm has also conducted trains for tours of travel firms and companies.

From June, the railway sector will run the QB1/QB2 service daily and the SE17/SE18 service at the weekends. Amid the increasing travel demand on the Hanoi-Hue route, the company will operate the SE17/SE18 service.

On the Hanoi-Vinh route, trains NA1/NA2 will be conducted. Meanwhile, the SP3/SP4 will be run on the Hanoi-Lao Cai route.

In the southern region, the railway sector will operate the SE21/SE22 from HCM City to Danang from May 10 and SQN1/SQN2 on HCM City-Quy Nhon route on weekends, starting from May 19.

The SNT1/SNT2 service will be used for the HCM City-Nha Trang route from May 19, while the SPT1/SPT2 service will run on the HCM City-Phan Thiet route from May 20.

During the recent Reunification Day and May Day holiday, the railway sector saw a sharp rise in passengers with many trains fully booked. Many routes had to add more trains, including HCM City-Nha Trang and Hanoi-Haiphong.
