Public buses to serve Tan Son Nhat Airport’s domestic terminal
According to the Public Transport Management Centre under the HCM City's Department of Transport, the 152 bus running from Trung Son Residential Area in Binh Chanh District and the airport and the 72-1 bus running between the airport and the Vung Tau Coach Station in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, will serve the airport’s domestic terminal from April 19.
Passengers can access the buses in Lane B at the domestic passenger terminal.
Tan Son Nhat Airport's domestic terminal has recently faced a lack of taxis amid rising travel demand, as evidenced during the Lunar New Year and the Hung Kings’ holidays.
HCM City's Department of Transport estimated that the airport is expected to serve in excess of 42,000 passengers daily during the upcoming Reunification (April 1) and International Labour Day (May 1) holidays .
"If the figure rises to more than 60,000 passengers per day, there would be a shortage of 1,100 taxis," the department said.
