According to the ministry's report, most of the new patients are locally-transmitted cases confirmed in 62 out of 63 localities in the country with five localities seeing the highest numbers including Hanoi (2,011), Nghe An (1,470), Yen Bai (1,271), Phu Tho (1,187), and Bac Giang (1,053). Thanh Hoa Province today added 28,740 more infection cases to the national tally.

As of Monday evening, the number of Covid-19 patients in Vietnam has increased to 10,250,160. The country now stands 12th among 225 countries and territories worldwide in the number of infections. Some localities that have recorded the highest number of patients include Hanoi (1,524,273), HCM City (602,470), Nghe An (416,641), Binh Duong (381,716), and Bac Giang (375,584).

On April 11, an additional 22,400 more patients recovered from the disease, raising the number of recoveries in the country to 8,554,923.

On Monday evening, a further 17 deaths related to Covid-19 were announced, bringing the total number of fatalities in Vietnam to 42,830. The high fatalities were reported in some localities including An Giang (4), Kien Giang (3), and Lam Dong (2).

Vietnam on April 10 administered 38,370 doses of Covid-19 vaccines, raising the total number of doses given to local people to over 208.56 million.
