Many people have flocked to the banks of the Red River in Hanoi during the Hung Kings' holiday.

The place has recently become a picnicking place for local families who want some fresh air in the city.

On Sunday, many families brought food for BBQ parties on the river bank.

The bank became more crowded in the late afternoon as more people came to swim in the river.

Children can swim, fly kites, or play football around.

The site is easily accessible to motorbikes and cars.

Visitors pay a fee of VND10,000 a person to enter the place.

This place also hosted the Hot Air Balloon Festival which attracted a lot of visitors two weeks ago.

The Hung Kings Temple holiday fell on Sunday this year so the public were given two days off. Many tourist destinations in the country received a sharp rise in the number of visitors as the pandemic has been brought under control.
