According to a report from the centre, they were informed about the sick crewman on the Izumo ship from Panama which was travelling off the coast of Nha Trang at 3 pm on March 29. The captain called for help to transport the crewman to the nearest hospital.

The rescue team climbed to the Izumo ship to rescue the sick crewman

The centre immediately dispatched a medical team to the vessel. While travelling to reach the vessel, the medical team kept in contact with the Izumo to monitor the victim's condition and direct first aid.


The sick crew member was safely taken to a hospital in Nha Trang City early this morning.
