Bach Dang Wharf Park in District 1, HCM City, has attracted lots of visitors after reopening in late January.

The park has become a favourite place for people to sightsee, to exercise and soak in the fresh air.

The 18,600-square-metre park was recently upgraded with new lighting and watering systems, walkways, gardens, and green areas, as well as stone platforms.

Nguyen Van Nam, from Binh Thanh District, said that he was surprised to see such a spacious park in the city centre.

"Some friends took me here to sightsee and enjoy the fresh air and it was such a nice surprise to see it," Nam said. "The park is so beautiful and modern."

Dinh Ha Lan, who lives near the area said that the renovated park has now become an ideal place for local residents for morning exercises. "This place is airy thanks to the nearby river, which makes jogging and exercising more enjoyable," she said. "The river view is also beautiful and brings a relaxing feeling for us."

Many young people like to take photos at the wharf.

Construction is still underway in the parking area.
