Under the decision signed by Duong Anh Duc, vice chairman of the municipal people’s committee, the city will dissolve the four consist of Covid-19 quarantine and treatment facilities at Thanh Loc Nurturing Centre, Bo La Drug Rehabilitation Centre, Phu Nhuan Hospital and Children’s Hospital 1.

The city will also temporarily suspend the Covid-19 intensive care centre at the Oncology Hospital 2 and field hospitals 6, 8 and 12.

Meanwhile, the city will maintain field hospitals 13, 14 and 16.

The HCM City Hospital for Tropical Diseases and Cho Ray Hospital still keep 200 beds for Covid-19 intensive care treatment each. This is aimed to ensure the city’s goal of 1,000 beds for intensive care treatment for Covid-19 patients. In necessary cases, the city quickly could reopen the suspended field hospitals.
