People have to give their phone number and ID number to the police who will issue the fine if they commit a traffic violation. The fine decision will then be posted on the national public service portal available at https://dichvucong.gov.vn/p/home/dvc-trang-chu.html.
People who violate traffic regulations in Hanoi can pay fines online from tomorrow, March 1.
People will be sent a code to search for their violation on the portal. There are nine steps to go through to pay the fine via the portal. Violators need to finish three steps, while the remainder will be dealt with by the management agencies.
Traffic violations have been made public on the national public service portal since 2020. People previously could see their violation on the website, but they still have to come to police stations directly to pay the fines.
