Film lovers have the chance to watch their favourite films at cinemas in Hanoi following the local administration's decision to reopen its cinemas, starting on February 10.

The city also allowed other entertainment centres and art venues to reopen the door to visitors from the above mentioned date.

The municipal leadership requested that the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Culture work closely alongside the municipal Department of Health and localities to direct cinemas, entertainment centres and art venues to strictly follow COVID-19 recommendations.

According to the Ministry of Health, cinema-goers are required to fully receive at least two doses of the COVID-19 vaccines and strictly abide by COVID-19 guidelines, including donning face masks, washing hands with sanitizer and keeping a safe distance.

All cinemas are also required to develop scenarios to deal with an outbreak just in case the virus is found.

Managers of major cinema complexes in Hanoi such as CGV and Lotte Cinema said they are ready for the reopening day.
