According to Canh, at present, all towns and communes in My Duc District are green zones or have a low risk of Covid-19 infection.

Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Chu Ngoc Anh earlier issued a directive on Covid-19 prevention and control measures for 2022 Lunar New Year period, including the suspension of festive activities.

Following the instruction, on January 25, My Duc District announced a halt to the Huong Pagoda Festival.

Thousands of boats at Hanoi’s Huong Pagoda have been left idle due to a sharp decline in visitors amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Huong Pagoda Festival, one of the country’s largest pilgrimage events, is often held between the 6th day of lunar January and the end of lunar March.
