Hanoi experienced a quiet Lunar New Year Eve 2022 due to bans on firework displays and celebrations for Covid-19 prevention in the city.

At 9pm, the Hoan Kiem Lake saw no crowds like in previous years as there were no firework displays this year.

The Dong Kinh-Nghia Thuc Square was also quiet without any celebrations.
