Under the instruction, localities in the city are requested to suspend all festivals and unnecessary large gatherings during Tet. Areas with high-risk Covid-19 infection have to closely carry out the pandemic prevention regulations.

People are asked to conform to pandemic prevention and control measures. The elderly and those facing underlying medical conditions should not take part in crowded activities.

Localities need to continue boosting the Covid-19 vaccination during the Tet occasion. It is necessary to provide the vaccination at home for some special groups, including the elderly and those with underlying diseases.

Communes and wards have to ensure the vaccination for all children aged from 12 so that they can return to school after Tet.

Hanoi earlier decided to cancel the Lunar New Year's Eve firework display at the Thong Nhat Park.
