The ministry said that the new regulation aims to create favourable conditions for people amid the peak travelling time around the Lunar New Year Holiday while the country is adapting to a new normal life.

"Only those who live in the areas or coming from airports listed as high risk of Covid-19 infection are required to show a negative test result," the new regulation said.

Before departure, passengers have to declare their health status on the PC-COVID application. Those who have symptoms of coughing, fever, breathing difficulties, sore throats will be refused.
