Tran Thi Thuy, 43, in Can Loc District just lost her husband a week ago. He died at sea while going on a fishing trip.
"I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer last year and have undergone two operations," Thuy said. "My husband and I used to earn our living by farming work but since my health worsened, he started to seek other jobs to earn extra income to cover my treatment. Last week he followed some friends on a fishing trip but then he fell from the boat and drowned at sea."
Thuy said her health deteriorated after the death of her husband.
Thuy has four children. Her first son Nguyen Dinh Cuong, 22, has had to stop working as a worker to take care of her. Her second son Nguyen Dinh Hung, 21, is on military service while two small children are still in primary school.

"I’m very worried for my small children as my health is worsening every day," she said in tears. "I really hope that I can receive some help from the public to support them."
